RE: HOAs = A major threat to sustainable housing
I hate my HOA. I really do. I put a clothes line in my backyard and within a week, someone from the HOA was over saying my neighbor (wouldn't say which one) complained and wanted it taken down. The thing was in my back yard. C'mon.

I like this device for, as someone else said, travel and other trips. For daily use, it doesn't make that much sense. Its like an oversized Solio.

I plant flowers and start my vegetable garden. Not quite there yet, but its coming. I have to turn the compost pile more often now and prep it for the season. Nothing like fresh grown herbs and veggies.

So the answer is not really???? What I am reading is that the carbon offset does help the environment in an indirect way but really has little impact on changing behaviors which are the root of the problem.
