Local, regional, national, all events are important.

There's this great event I went to last September in San Jose. Its called West Coast Green. I went mostly as a curious bystander, but I think it was well worth my time and money. I learned a lot about the green movement and how I can apply it to my life.

Global Exchange and Green America are sponsoring three events in the coming months. They are called greenfestival. each is a two day event and located in the following cities. Seattle (3/28-29), Denver (5/2-3) and Chicago (5/16-17). Between the events there will be 400 exhibitors and over 125 speakers.

It looks to be more product and socially oriented, but it promises to be educational, fun and beneficial to awakening the public to the real green movement.

Greenbuild 2009 to be held in Phoenix, AZ

Greenbuild is one of the largest international sustainable building conferences and promises to be a very educational and fun event for all who attend.

Greenbuild is a always an exciting event. There is a so much to learn about living and building green and greenbuild pulls so much of it together into one well organized event.

Congrats on your business opening. Independence Day? Not sure if I would have chosen that date, but to each their own. I am wondering where you are located. I don't have much locally in the way of sustainable shopping and really think that having sustainable goods shipped for personal reasons defeats much of the benefit.
