So my furnace is about to go. Its an old gas clunker and it just isn't cutting it anymore. It is hooked up to a series of old radiators and barely gets the upstairs bedroom one warm. I just can't take it and its getting pretty cold this winter.

I want to go green with this new purchase, but I don't know how to go about this. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg either. I can't afford to do too much renovation to the home. It would be great to just get a more modern and efficient version of what I am using now.

    Anyone have any idea?

You already have the gas line and the radiators hooked up right? I would say get a smaller gas furnace for heat and a tankless hot water heater as well or you could just go straight tankless.

I do have a complete system already installed but if I just used a newer furnace/boiler I would have to get something better than what I have or that last room still won't be warm.

Do I need to call in a professional to check and determine what I need? I don't want to be sold a bill of goods though. I just want the most efficient and right sized piece of equipment without spending too much money.

The tankless thing? Do those things really work?

Bryant's Evolution System is your best bet for a cost efficient and energy efficient system. It is 95% efficient and has 2 stage heating along with a modulating gas valve for even more efficiency. IT also has a variable speed ran that ramps up and down for quiet operation. This type of fan also allows for steadier inside temp control. For more information visit the following site.
