So I was watching Showtime the other night and caught an episode on Penn & Teller's B.S. entitled Hybrids, Nukes and Lesbians. I know the show isn't for everyone because they can be quite crass and abrasive. It is anything but a family show, but I thought they made some really great points about nuclear power and why we aren't using it. They call it like they see it. Certainly their opinions aren't fact, but I thought it was interesting how safe nuclear power really is. I would usually consider myself a bit skeptic about the potential of nuclear but I am starting to see it differently now.
Has anyone else seen the show?

I starting watching one episode on lawns. It was crude and way too abrasive for my taste. I changed the channel and really don't care what they have to say if they can't communicate in a civilized manner.

Offensive? Yes! But do they make some good points. Indeed.

LOVED IT!!! I know they are crude and half the time they are just saying things to get a rise out of people, but when it comes to nuclear these guys were spot on. The only thing they completely avoided was the time it takes to bring a nuclear plant online. It could be 15-20 years from shovel to electrons. I still think this is something we need and we need to start now.

I haven't seen the show, but i am not sure about the good side of nuclear energy. In my opinion solar energy by sun fusion, wind energy, water power and geothermal are better sources to produce harmless energy..
