I am all about getting to know people and companies who are worthy of the "green" mark.
For your home/backyard design, here are two exceptional ones:
First, for your pool or hot tub, look into Dimension One Spas. It's a company that has been "green" long before it was a coined phrase. Their hot tubs are made from 100% recycled milk jugs and the water is cleaned with an ionization system (to conserve water and energy). Heating costs are only about $15-20/month. Best of all, it has the glitz and glam of a resort's jacuzzi (with mood-lighting fountains and an underwater stereo system).
