Cases across the US are increasing as people begin to adopt new solar technologies in their homes. Beware that there are some companies and individuals out there that are claiming to supply solar technologies that are just out to get your money.
Always do your research into a company and be leery of those asking for large deposits for products and installations.

I have heard about this. It is truly sad that some would take advantage of the good intentions of others. I worry that some will be scared away from sustainable initiatives because of a few bad apples.

So truly sad, but very true that you must be careful with whom you spend your money. If you are not well versed in a technology, then it is even more important to protect yourself through education and questioning. Don't just trust that everyone is out for the greater good.

This was bound to happen. Not that I am condoning the practices of the scam artists, but when you introduce a relatively unknown technology to consumers on a mass scale and with the gusto that renewable energy is being pushed, there will be those who want the technology just to keep up with the times and it is those people who fall prey to those who seek to rip us off.
