As some of you may have noticed, there is no longer the function to post a comment about someone's project on these forums. Due to the nature of the projects page, we were seeing a high level of spam abuse on these comments.

We have therefore decided to suspend that feature until a suitable resolution can be found. If there is an interest, we can create a separate forum that will allow people to discuss the projects. The forums have a higher level of security and user control than does the project area.

I liked the projects and someday, I may get around to posting my own project. I saw all the spam and it was really distracting. I think we should definitely start a thread on the projects.

I voted yes. I think that there is always a need for a sounding board for projects. It gets too easy to just think that your work is either good or bad, but when you have the input of others you can see things that you are otherwise blinded to.

I liked those posts, well except for the spam ones.

Its nice to see other people's projects but I don't know if a thread in the forums will always be seen by people using the site.

While not too many people have responded, we have decided to attempt to start a thread on the projects. We will be locating this thread in the "Your Stories" forum for now. If there seems to be substantial interest, we will move the thread to its own forum.

what ever happened to the ability to post to the projects? Is it something that is coming back? Is there a thread that we can talk about all of this. I haven't seen anyone posting in the 'Your Stories' are either.
