Just curious about everyone's opinion. What would you say is the most important technology, approach or feature to include when designing a green home? It could be anything.

I would say that a systematic approach is the most important thing. Don't just look at the individual parts and technologies, but rather look at the overall picture and how things fit together and feed off of one another.

Energy saving is important as well as usage reduction. Its more than just one approach, its a wholistic approach that is important.

I have listed 3 most important approach to a greener home or building that we must consider:
(1). Efficient use of energy, water, and other resources
(2). Occupant's health protection
(3). Reduction of waste, pollution and environmental degradation.
