So I don't know if this is the best place for this thread, but I have been toying with the idea of equipping my home with a bike trainer that also works as a power generator. I found this one but I don't know what else is out there.

From what I have heard these things aren't worth the money or the embodied energy. One site I read awhile ago actually said unless you are a professional cyclist, you will never ride enough to overcome the embodied energy of producing the product. Good luck though.
